BJES Learning Community,

Good Thursday afternoon! The heat has sub-sided some, and students have got to enjoy some outdoor recess today. Though rain may be in the forecast today, high temperatures are still possible over the course of this week and next. Therefore, students may bring water bottles on the bus up until Labor Day. Please know, we are making every effort to keep students hydrated and cool in the summer heat. As a reminder, Breckinridge County Schools will not be in session on Monday, September 2nd for the Labor Day Holiday.

Fall MAP Testing has started and will continue until August 27th. MAP Testing results will be used to help guide instruction in many core areas like reading, math, language arts, and science. Please encourage your child to continue to give their very best on all of their testing. Go Wildcats, and remember, we believe in you!

The Kentucky Center for School Safety visited  BJES on Wednesday, August 21st. KCSS was incredibly complimentary of the school, students, parents, teachers, staff, and district leaders involved in the Safe School Assessment. BJES will use information gained from KCSS over the next several weeks to continue to strengthen school safety and culture at BJES.

BJES Mid-Term Progress Reports will be going home on September 5th. If you have any questions or concerns, then please do not hesitate to contact the school at 270-756-3070 or email me personally at At BJES, we are here to serve you.
