BJES Learning Community,

Good Thursday morning! BJES has had an awesome week! From two Grandparents' Breakfasts to an awesome motivational speaker at BCMS to Student Day at the Holt House, it is an awesome time to be a BJES Wildcat! As a reminder, Friday, October 4th is a District-Wide Training Day in Breckinridge County, so there will be no school for students. Also, Fall Break for Breckinridge County Schools will be October 7th-11th. There will be no school for students during Fall Break.

With Fall Break is right around the corner, what a great time to reflect on an awesome start to the school year! For this week’s Principal Challenge, write to your teacher and explain one of your favorite activities that you have enjoyed or completed this school year. Then write about one subject that you can not wait to learn about. Remember, as initiative-takers, we initiate learning and growth. So, don’t wait for your class to begin learning, but dive into a book, digital device, or other resource and begin learning all on your own! All Principal Challenges are due Thursday afternoon in the big fish mailbox right outside my office. Remember at BJES, we believe in YOU!

BJES will have Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 15th from 4-6 P.M. Parent/Teacher Conferences are an excellent way to discover all of the tremendous progress your child has made this year at BJES. If you have any questions, concerns, or will be unable to attend, then please feel free to contact the school anytime at 270-756-3070. Working together, anything is possible!
