BJES Learning Community,

It is with great pride that I announce that BJES has been recognized by the Kentucky Department of Education and the State STLP Coordinator Mrs. Elaine Harrison Lane as a STLP Gold School! This award is the highest status a school may receive in STLP and our school was presented with the certificate and status on March 28th at the State Championship Competition at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

In order to receive this award our school had to acheive outstanding status and be distinguished in the following state STLP goals.

State STLP Goals

1.The STLP will develop activities that enhance the academic, social, and emotional growth of the student.
2.The STLP will provide leadership opportunities for all students.
3.The STLP will experience multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships.
4.The STLP will form learning partnerships between students with different technology skills.
5.The STLP will develop activities that benefit communities.
6.The STLP will develop instructional activities, which integrate technology and benefit the school and support the KETS.

As you can see, our school has a lot to be proud of, and we owe a big congratulations to our BJES STLP Coordinator, Mrs. Emily Priddy, many BJES volunteers and staff, and of course our incredible BJES STLP students.
