Hello! My name is Michelle Simpson, and I proudly serve as the Family Resource Center (FRC) Coordinator for both Ben Johnson Elementary and Custer Elementary.

I’m a 1994 graduate of Breckinridge County High School and earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Mid-Continent University in 2012. I began my journey at Ben Johnson Elementary in 2021 as an Instructional Assistant and was honored to step into the role of FRC Coordinator in August 2022.

In this role, I work to develop and implement programs, activities, and services tailored to meet the unique needs of our students and their families. Although I divide my time between the two schools, I remain fully dedicated and accessible to both communities—no matter where I’m located.

I’ve been married to my husband, Jamie, since 1996. We have two amazing children, Whitney and Brandon, who both attended Ben Johnson during their elementary years. This year, we were thrilled to welcome our first grandchild, Everlee Michelle. Becoming “Gigi” has been one of the greatest joys of my life! Outside of work, I love photography and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible students, families, and staff, and I look forward to another wonderful year of connection, support, and growth across our schools!
